We want to share a brief update on changes impacting Cisco hardware pricing, quotes, and delivery timelines due to ongoing global supply constraints.
What’s changing
Shorter quote validity

Compute hardware pricing is valid for 7 days

Non‑compute hardware pricing is valid for 14 days
-
All renewals past their end date will have pricing valid only for 14 days.
Compute delivery timelines
Some orders may show as pending scheduling as supply conditions continue to fluctuate
Compute promotions
Deal registrations, promotional and program discounts on compute have now discontinued
Why is this happening?
The global tech industry is facing a major memory shortage as semiconductor manufacturers shift production toward AI infrastructure, causing sharp increases in DRAM, NAND, and storage prices. As a result, Cisco and other vendors are adjusting compute pricing, promotions, and quote protection periods to reflect rising component costs. Market conditions are expected to remain tight through 2026, with stabilization likely around 2027–2028.
